November 14 is Children's day (Bal Diwas/ Bal Divas). In India, Jawaharlal Nehru's birthday is celebrated as Children's day. Nehru loved roses and children and often said that the two are similar and that they need the environment to bloom. Nehru was fondly called as Chacha Nehru by children.
