This Marathi song equates the joy of celebrating Diwali (Divali, Deepawali) with the joy of being at the feet of Lord Vitthal. What I like the most is the prologue to it which explains the significance of Dhanteras, Narak Chaturdashi, Lakshmi Puja and Bhau Beej (Bhai Dooj). Drown in the sea of devotion this Dipavali with Aaj Diwali Dasara, Aalo Vithalache Dwara

In the song Diwali Yenar Ghari, Amchya Ghari Ana Tumchya Ghari, a group of young girls welcomes the festival with pomp. Rangoli and lots of revelry is on the cards as newly married girls visit their maternal homes with lots of gifts for their family.

Usha Mangeshkar calls the full moon night of Diwali magical as it heralds a new morning. I simply love the lyrics of Lakh Divyani Kamal Keli, Tinisanjela Sakal Zali, Aali Diwali Aali.

This Marathi song aptly sums the sentiments of sisters on Bhai Dooj. Owalite Mi Ladakya Bahuraya is song that I have loved since childhood and often hum it when I apply tikka and aarti to my brothers.

Enjoy this song from the Marathi Movie Bhau Beej is indeed a classic. Rendered superbly by Asha Bhosle, her innocent voice in her early 20s, the mood fits the auspicious occasion of the festival of siblings.

A laddoo tries to befriend other snacks on the plate. He walks up to the karanji and chakli and requests them if they can call him their brother. However, both make silly demands from him. The anarsa finally comforts the laddoo.

A little girl talks about how she is all set to enjoy Diwali but has to face several problems like an elder sister who is acting too pricey to draw rangoli and a brother who prefers bombs over fuljhadis.
