A children's nursery rhyme about the modaks offered to Ganpati.  The child describes the modak recipe and finally exhorts Ganesha to savor the treat and stay back for the rest of the 10 days of Ganeshotsav.

How Ganapati became Chintamani

An interesting tale behind how Ganesha came to be called as Chintamani. Interestingly, each of the names with which the Lord is referred has a story behind it.

किती वेळा सांगितला हो बाप्पा तुम्हाला...

See how this young girl describes the ten-day Ganesha (Ganpati) festival in her innocent manner. She requests Lord Ganesha to take care of his health and not to eat too many sweets. She advises Bappa to take care of his health as sweets will give him a stomach ache.

She lovingly calls him a voracious eater hinting at the large amounts of modaks offered to the Lord. She knows that Ganapati loves modaks and gobbles up everything that is offered to him.

The girl advises the lord to eat simple food such as varan bhaat which is easy to digest rather than oily and rich sweets. She tells him it is more nutritious and beneficial as compared to calorie-rich modaks.
