This is a beautiful lullaby rendition by Lata Mangeshkar. Enjoy!

Here's a gem from noted Marathi poet Mangesh Padgaonkar's kavita (poems) for children describing exactly what children feel when we scold them for the wrongs and pamper them soon after.

Fajiti Bhovaryachi - Short Marathi Poem
Isn't the poem cute? Reminds us of the good ol' days when children still played with tops. Now is the era of beyblades, those fighter Chinese tops that fight, defeat and sometimes lose. I am not particularly a fan of beyblades, but hey my son is, and so I am compelled to watch and participate in the aggression (excitement to some) of the game.
Our play with the old fashioned tops in the good ol' 70s and 80s was only limited to how fast you could spin your top and how long it stayed. Guess times have changed and technology has transformed my bhovara (top) into a fancy beyblade.
